So everyone, I had the idea of doing what I am calling the 'Blink182 California Roundup'. Basically a NCAA style bracket tournament pitting the songs from OG and DX against each other until we eventually have a winner. Would that be something you guys would want to do? Interesting idea I think

I see theres already a debate happening between San Diego, BTD, Left Alone, and Sober......more of reason to give it a shot.

I'd probably have to say Cynical as of right now...It changes a lot though. Depends on the mood I'm in lol.

Sounds like most of everyone would be up for it. Having trouble finding an app or site that will randomly generate that many matchups into a bracket image that doesn't require money, or uses byes(and it randomly picks the byes why would any song get a bye let alone giving it to Wildfire or something). so I may have to run this by hand which I can do.

Also not going to count joke songs, but will have to include BTD(acoustic) for an even amount of songs. Just consider the acoustic this games version of the Cleveland Browns. We know you won't go far but by golly it's cute you tried.

 

I'd rank Built This Pool over some of the "serious" songs on this album

 

Ok random generator has put these as the matchups. I'll break these into 3 a day so it's easier to count votes. BTD gets a bye into the final 4 with its acoustic version being in round 1, with the number of songs it's the only way to balance the bracket and also the fact it went #1 on the charts.

Rabbit Hole - this was a close call, Rabbit Hole just edging it.
Don't Mean Anything - has the classic blink vibe in the chorus. What's not to like.
Cynical - one of the strongest new songs they've released.

It was very hard letting "Cynical" go, but "Sober" just feels more fleshed out and solid to me, and it's also a different sound for the band but doesn't sound forced at all.

I hate that I had to choose Rabbit Hole over something lol, that first matchup is real shitty. Likewise, it sucks that either Cynical or Sober won't make it out of the first round, because both are borderline final four material.
