I think in the past he's mentioned that he has some sort of connection to the band.

Low key worried for whatever reason they will be in Orlando at the House of Blues the same night Ed Sheeran plays at the Arena.....I'll have to sell my front row seats lol.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

I'm confident in about three outta four being a guarantee.

Beyond any connection I have with them, it's how this band does business the last 4 albums, it's their M.O. They like to launch things at once as a cohesive unit.

I've confirmed the release date, so preorders are going to have to be put up soon. The single is ready. The tour is booked. I'm assuming the Daniels are done with the first video, but that's the wildcard given how nuts those guys are with their effects.

I'm surprised no one has said The Only One for fav live song from METN. That live version is unreal.

Can I change my answer from Simple Math to Pensacola. I have a video of the crowd and I chanting every Stuffing as is tradition.

Naming my favorite live song off each album is so much more difficult than I thought.

Is anyone's favorite live song NOT Where Have you Been? That's easily mine (although I can barely breathe is a close second),

Everything to Nothing but then sometimes Andy pulls out the solo dark The Only One and it blows me away. So hard to choose.

    Pale Black Eye (or Deer)

Every Stone (or After the Scripture)

I'm about to say probably the most unpopular thing in this thread that will shake you guys to your core...

Pride is one of my least favorite Manchester Orchestra songs.

    *ducks for cover*

Don't get me wrong, I still like the song, but definitely not to the level as most MO fans seem to.

They could put Pride on a album 10 times and it would still be a better record than Cope.

The album version of Pride is good, but the live version is on a completely different level of greatness. Hearing the live version of Pride and Where Have You Been has kind of ruined the album versions for me because they're so basic in comparison.

I think Manchester Orchestra's discography is stellar, but there's not one album in it that hits the same highs of The Devil and God and Beggars, or as solid as I consider 5 out of 6 of mewithoutYou's discog.

That's what puts both Brand New, Thrice, and mewithoutYou on a tier above MO in my mind.

They're only one really amazing album from reaching that tier.

I've always said, the heavier the better. I don't think this record is going to be what I was hoping for (in that way), but the soundscape their creating with the different samples and storytelling elements might make it better than I could have hoped.

Live though, the heavy shines through with this band. They should never not open with Pride. I think it sets the stage for the night pretty well.

Pride, Shake It Out, Now That You're Home, Where Have You Been, Virgin, Cope, Mighty, and of course Colly Strings.

    Ian knows whats up.

i quite like Cope and ive revisited SM recently and id say i like it, id give it like a 7/10 or somewhere around there. But Pride could pound for pound be the bands best song and I LOVE the additions Andy throws into it live.

Yeah. Subject has been beaten to death though. It is what it is.

Listened to METN on my commute to work this morning and it's just so so good. Didn't have time to listen to The River though which left the whole thing feeling unsatisfied.
