Yeaaaaa if you think the US military doesn't cause civilian casualties you would be incorrect.

Oh, I was just guessing but that makes sense. My theater has a big screen called the Big D and I always wondered why movies shown there were in IMAX 3D.

I'm pretty sure people who talk about Israel's military actions similarly have no problem talking about America's military actions.

Is anyone in here going to catch a showing tonight? I have to wait until tomorrow unfortunately.

I'm seeing it Saturday with my girlfriend. Honestly longer wait than usual for me, for movies like this, but we have some "errands" to run. We're moving in together 7/1 so I think I may have been to every Home Goods, Target, Christmas Tree Shop etc in Massachusetts by this point. I needed a break so we got two tickets to the luxury theater. So psyched.

I won't be able to see this until Sunday at the earliest

Maybe one day I'll find a theater that does morning showings

My theater sometimes has showings as early as 5 am. Those poor employees

That'd be tough. I work nights for that exact reason. Getting off work early sounds nice until that alarm clock goes off.

That's not what I said though. I said would you talk about an American actor who was a former American soldier the same way. (I think the answer is very obviously no)

My theater has a 2:50 am Saturday showing lol

I would not enjoy that. I worked at an IMAX theater in high school and the midnight shows sucked. We were a one screen theater (located inside a furniture store lol) so only one person over 18 would stay with a manager to exit. I don't really want to go to a showing past 10pm at this point in my life.

I did do a midnight of The Dark Knight followed by an 8:30 am showing of The Dark Knight, but I was 17 and it was free since I worked there.

  15. I mean, I've never seen anything posted in Oliver Stone, Mel Brooks, or James Earl Jones movie threads, for example.

I wouldn't want to see it at that time either. Anyone who sees the film at 2:50 am wouldn't be out until 5:30 in the morning. No movie could keep me awake at those hours.

Great points. Or even more modern celebrities in the post draft era such as Rob Riggle or Adam Driver. We don't hear complaints about these people. and I also don't think they're deserving of complaints! but neither is Gadot

Going to a 12:25 showing Saturday afternoon with my wife. We normally go to early afternoon showings for new releases.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Went to see it this morning, loved it. Probably my favourite origin movie since 'Iron Man'. Gal Gadot is fantastic, so is Chris Pine. Instantly enjoyed it which is awesome as BVS needed multiple watches and the extended cut on Blu Ray before I really started to enjoy it.

Adam Driver was the one that came to mind. The US also doesn't have mandatory military service.

    @robbieberns Prestigious

Yeah, when I read that I assumed it was mandatory service like a lot of countries have.

The No Man's Land sequence in this film was one of the best comic book film moments ever. The reveal of Wonder Woman as she climbs out of the trench was in the trailers, but this was a perfect example of "spoilers" being nonsense and good films being un-spoil-able: contextually, it's so wonderful and so earned and so powerful.

Anyways, yeah, I really liked this movie.

It helped that the context for her reveal is not really in the trailers from what I recall. Though, I purposefully did not watch everything released. "Spoiling" a visual is one thing, but spoiling the details around it I think can have an effect. I like that the final battle was not in anything I saw either. I liked that there was a fight I had no context or visuals for before I saw it on screen.

But that's not why I am replying...

I replied because I just saw this and loved it. Gadot and Pine killed it. Jenkins did such a great job and crafting this story that made you invest so much into Diana.i loved her journey and wanted to see more and more from her.

Please, please DC, more movies like this and less hollow movies like the others in this universe.
