Bingo. It's scientifically proven that exercise should make you feel happier and therefore more confident. Everyone should care about their body. I just finished 'leg day' at 3-4am. So I don't buy the whole "I don't have time" excuse because that's rarely true. Ultimately, the average person only really needs like an hour workout just a few times a week. That newfound confidence should show and improve your social life.

 

^^^ Yup. I get off work around 1-2am so I'm pretty much always out of the gym at 3-4am. I will say though, when I am in school it's hard to get off work and go to the gym knowing I have to get up for class in the morning (especially since I don't have a car and have to bike everywhere). But I think it's important to recognize how powerful language is. "I don't have time" is almost never a valid excuse and instead I have learned to say, "going to the gym isn't a priority right now" and it puts the control back in my hands.

 

I posted this on Feb 17th this year.

This girl is now my girlfriend, and we're having an amazing time. Just goes to show life can work out if you let it. :)

I get kinda bothered by the "it wouldn't be fair to you" stuff tbh. I feel like I should be able to decide if something is fair for me or not.

 

Yeah she told me yesterday toward the beginning of our date that she recently got out of a three year relationship and has some issues with her ex.

I was glad she made a point to tell me, because she was nervous to tell it and I figure it was a sign of genuine interest.

 

True, that part seems a little disengenuous. But she said take it slow, that I can handle better than "you're a nice guy but"

lol I am so bad at Tinder. I probably only swipe right once every 60 swipes, my bio is only a sentence long and it's about meatballs, and my main picture is of me drunk from when I dressed as the log lady from Twin Peaks a couple years ago at Bay to Breakers. No matches yet but when I get one I'll know it's real ;)

when (if) i get back on tinder, the first change I'm making is to the bio: "yeah, i major in English, but no, I don't want to be a teacher" so I get having a less general profile haha. it really speeds things up imo

Since I was telling my riveting tale of my college group project in the music forums, it triggered a moment of regret! In that same group there was a really cute guy that may have been interested in me? I'm not sure but I totally regret not going there. I think I didn't at the time because he didn't seem ~relationship material, which is silly. He was super cool and talented and I should've just hung out and had fun. College me was a loser. Current me still is but at least now I'm a bit of a bolder loser who takes things less srsly

 

Srsly I hate people who say they have no regrets. I have so many lol. I need a redo on life
