That's pretty cool actually. I remember ringing out my first dissonant chord and thinking nothing could be more badass. I was right.

Dissonant chords are the best, I would play them on my schools classical guitar every day and annoy the f out of most teachers... except the ones who liked converge and botch haha there was a few

sometimes near the end of 5th grade i heard grand theft autumn, 70x7, best of me, other pop punk classics

older brother turned me onto drive thru + fuse tv, got into tbs, brand new, the used, jimmy eat world you know the good shit. fuse tv all day every day

grade 7 i discover avenged sevenfold. awwww yisssssss. i was a guitar player, taught myself all their riffs (not the solos, synyster was god)

was into that shit, atreyu, bullet for my valentine (saw those three together on taste of chaos once), but also still liked some scene stuff like coheed, but also stuff like tool, also somewhere discovered bayside and the fall of troy. also rise against, lots of rise against. and a wilhlelm scream. but most avenged sevenfold

age 15, freshmen year of high school i discovered a city by the light divided, war all the time, and the devil and god, thrice, stuff like that

age 16 i found absolutepunk

age 17-current has been a whirlwind. now i like everything. mostly listen to metal, electronic, and hip-hop, some emo some scene some indie. i like it all baby


im 24 and for the past week ive mostly been listening to waking the fallen and city of evil because i use music as a gateway to extreme feelings of nostalgia on the regular. its fun

 

I like liked one of their songs but saw them open on the 2005 Vagrant Records tour featuring Early November and Senses Fail

 

i saw them live and their guitarist played i think that or ex's and oh's or whichever one with the guitar solo at the end behind his back and then i taught myself the same solo behind my back

I saw them at mayhem fest a few years back because I wanted to see Korn again and the tickets were free. I would have left if my ride back didn't want to stay. It was soooo soooo bad, I felt sorry for my friends for thinking they were good. Also trivium opened, I used to like them when I was like 15

i havent played in a band since high school and i was actually a drummer for that lol i just produce electronic music now but i play guitar for fun, started when i was 10 and i'll always love it. would love to play guitar in a metal band some day, but the good kind like russian circles or isis (THE BAND) something doomy or sludgy

 

what year? i saw them in very early 08 and very early 09 when the rev was still alive, the 08 show was far superior but at the time i enjoyed myself. just glad i saw them twice before the rev passed because theres no way its been the same since, especially with all the shitty albums that followed but made them even bigger so they p robably play way too much awful new shit
