I think Emanuel ended because their singer was a substance abuser, actually. I'd guess he's off that stuff now. I remember seeing them with alexisonfire and it was sooo packed for them, I was shocked. I thought they were relatively unknown at the time.

No, it's literally because their singer had substance abuse issues and he spent years trying to break them. All the bands he joined after never worked out by chance. It just happens. When I saw them they were really good live and I'm a pretty tough critic.

 

I've dated people who have told me they love that song and it's their favorite song on the album, I shrug. It's aight.

I'm a really big Black earth tiger fan though so probably shouldn't listen to my takes haha

 

ahh i just remember hearing horror stories of their lives shows during the emanuel days which is why i figured they never found huge success like their peers. but, substance abuse issues probably contributed to the horrible live performances anyway, believe me i would know (not that i performed live while using but i know what using does to someone....just makes you a fucking shell of who you used to be). glad he seems to be clean now.
