by definition it's the former. but it's used in the 2nd context as a kinda satirical thing? Satirical doesn't sound like the right word, ie. "they complain about dem ess jay dubya's being snowflakes but then freak out over the 'snowflakes' criticizing htem". or something like that.


Before this election I always heard it used to criticize helicopter parents expecting special treatment for their kids, when the kid is just a normal average kid; not special needs or anything.

Just had a huge debate because of the "are you privileged?" Quiz, this girl I know owned another girl who's was trying to claim "you could get out of poverty if you try hard enough, anything is possible" kind of nonsense lol it was fun. Hate to disagree with Jeet but I really don't buy that there aren't a shitton of people who think some bullshit about Russia

 

"tampered with vote tallies" is different than "some bullshit about Russia" haha. Like, right now I personally don't think I would answer with a definitive "yes" for a question asked that way.

 

That's my point. There's no evidence for literal vote tampering, but tons of people believe it. There's evidence for a lot of other shit done by Russia to help Trump or push propaganda but not vote tampering, and yet 60% of people believe it. And at the same time, there's people saying that no one has been fooled in this way, that no significant amount of people believe anything about Russia that doesn't have significant evidence for it. Well, not so much.
