the day they learn to instill terror in the politicians that run the free world is maybe the day they make a bigger dent in the world

  5. yeah...terrorists sure haven't made a dent in the world yet. nothing they've done so far has had any significant political consequences...

bigger. Idk why there is hostility. Everyone here laments and is sick about what is happening

Master of not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

As far as I'm aware, terror attacks in the UK are thwarted at a rate of 1 per day on average. I think a large proportion of these attacks are aimed at buildings like Parliament, business centres in London, places that have a high level of footfall and because places like this would have massive fall out if they were attacked there's more or less a constant red alert around these places. Although 200 miles probably doesn't seem a lot to a lot of you guys in the states, over here that's a huge distance culturally and I think any attacks on Manchester are generally speaking not where is targeted. I'm making a LOT of assumptions here so don't take this as fact, but I think anti-terror security forces are much more common in London and locations of high political and economic worth.

they are instilling terror in the politicians though. every one of these attacks is followed by knee jerk bombing campaigns and at the very least, attempts at stricter immigration laws and refugee intake.

al qaeda flew an airplane into the pentagon but what gets talked about more? the world trade center, because that one targeted normal civlians. targeting every day people resonates more amongst those people AND the politicans.

on top of civilian casualties of 911

the 126 casualties of the Pentagon is by far the largest amount of government employees in a western terrorist attack that I know of.

destroying the wtc directly assaults US market

recent attacks are just civilians and children. for whatever it's worth. an observation.

I can't even think straight the last weeks or months really wit everything going on. I hate my country and I feel sick thinking about child murderers.

Anyone done a "tele-townhall" with a congressperson before? I just got a call from Roy Blunts office saying he's doing one tomorrow at 6pm and they're going to call my phone and "I'll have an opportunity to ask questions." Didn't know if this is just gonna be scripted and pre selected questions will be asked to make it seem like he's doing something?

this seems significant right? yet its not a well known fact, i certainly havent heard that until right now. like i said, i think these things resonate far more loudly with both politicans and civilians when the latter is the deliberate target

that that was the largest number of government employees killed in a western terror attack, which you were actually wrong about it seems

I'm wondering if these sort of attacks get thwarted often now or what. Like what @Jamie Dagg was talking about. If we could ever know.
