I mean, I've tried to make small talk and she hasn't responded but has posted stuff and I know she's not working so... either she's literally playing the sims 95% of the day or she's just not even bothering to look at my messages. She didn't seem to care that I wouldn't be able to show up much, her interest level dropped more and more really quick. I'm just going to forget it and see if she bothers, there's only so much I could try to talk to someone and be ignored.

Do they have dating sites centered around TV shows? Cause that says so much about someone tbh! Who is their favorite Friend? Is Crime and Punishment also their favorite episode of Roseanne? Are they Team Michael or Team Raf? Vital information!!!

 

Okay, in that case I'd definitely forget it. It just sucks that she's leaving you hanging. Personally, I'd rather just get an, "hey you know I'm just not interested anymore." At least then you'd know.

Most people don't do that, it would be nice if they did but I will usually just say "I get the hint" and it'll all come after lol Most just let it float away and forget it.

 

I don't think I'd ever be judgement on television taste except for like MTV reality shows.

I hope so. I've never actually attempted dating before, since I've always just assumed no one would ever be interested in me, which is why she was the only girlfriend I've ever had. If I ever start to feel better I might make the attempt to try some kind of dating site or something. We'll see I guess.

 

I think there is one for music! Or there has been. But TV/movies I think can say a lot more. Like... in regards to what characters they're sympathetic too or what storylines they respond to. Like I can't be dating someone who thinks Ross is on the right side of the breakup with Rachel.

 

I've never used a dating app or anything like that but I sometimes wonder if I did if my wife and I would've been compatible matches (assuming she used it too of course)

 

If this is the case is be alone forever and my wife and I wouldn't be together. I've seen very little Friends and it's my wife's favorite show lol

It's okay if someone hasn't seen the show, as long as when they finally do watch it with me their opinions are right lol. my ex had never seen Friends which was okay, but when he finally did see it he hated Rachel, which was not fine! At least, his reasons for hating Rachel were sexist and very revealing. People's motivations for liking or hating certain characters is the thing that says a lot imo, not necessarily if we just watch the same shows.

it's just wild looking back at my ex and there were all these red flags about the pop culture figures he didn't like. And not just cause he didn't like Xtina or Bey but the way he spoke about them was so sexist and racist looking back but I was naive. Pop culture and media is my tell now for dating. They don't have to like the same things, but if their reason for not liking it is sus af then byyye.
