  1. Ok, now that it's here ... they've had a lot of time to play with this sound .... now if I had a vote it would be: new producer, explore something more, this is about as far as you can take this sound IMO. Crack the knuckles and expand into some new things.

  5. I can name a bunch I'd love to see. Haha, I talked about this more on this week's podcast too, I float the idea of working with a bunch of producers and doing a lot of different writing outside of the box. But, yeah, I think both of those ... and I'd love to see them go in a bunch of weird directions too. They're a huge band, they've got the money ... I say use it. Haha.

I'll find some way to incorporate maybe four of these songs into the 10 track cut I already made for California and then that'll be it, haha.

  7. Like, you know what Feldy is gonna get you. You've tapped that and can do it. It's good. It's fine. But not many bands can use their clout to really try ... anything.

Yeah, I feel the same. I feel like he's planted his seed in them and its sprouted into strong relationships. I'll be shocked if they work with someone else.

  17. Big fan of the dueling vocals in "Long Train Home" btw.

  18. My fear too actually. I think my best hope is they use him for a few songs and other producers for other songs ... like, that way he can have his two ... haha. I dunno, I just think I know exactly that that'll sound like. I fear that.

My biggest hope is that one day this band makes a record without looking at the past or "what sounds like blink". I'm curious what they could do if they got extra creative and without the past holding them back

In addition to Sprinkle and Stevenson, I'd throw in Neal Avron or Butch Walker

  21. maybe you mean since untitled but you don't think the untitled record was just that?

Just finished listening, i didn't necessarily dislike it but nothing really connected with me (at least nowhere near how like the Untitled record did) I would really like to hear them experiment more, maybe get away from the "we're blink-182 so here's a record that sounds like Blink-182" formula that they seem to be following. Like i know Mark is big into indie music, it would be cool to hear that influence come out a bit more

Also I'm glad i listened to the album but i don't think it will get anywhere near as many plays as the Paramore album will this summer
