I don't get why my preorder hasn't shipped yet. I ordered within minutes of them going up. Grrrrr!

Last Train Home is my fucking jam. holy shit

 

Long Lost Feeling is a frustrating song to me bc it never explodes into awesomeness. ZZZZZzzzzzz

 

I like most of the songs, but yes. There may be slight variations, but it's basically the exact same.

 

I agree with whoever was talking about how weird Feldmann mixes guitars too. Too much high end, there needs to be more meat on those guitars

 

I really like the deluxe tracks. I think OG California is better overall, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't add/replace a lot of tracks from "disc 2" which is exactly what I wanted from it.

 

Well I was going to go to bed - but I guess I have to sneak outside to listen to this while my fiance is going to sleep. Fuck having to be at work early.

 

Remember when it had been such a long time between Blink 182 songs and all we wanted was new music? I am happy with California and am impressed that they managed to put out a deluxe version less than a year later.

Maybe not every song is what you want. I like it. People need to keep in mind this is their first album with Matt, and first experience working with Feldmann on an album.

 

Still midway through it, but from the ones we hadn't heard, Good Old Days and Last Train Home sound really good.

I can only imagine how insane our lists and rankings will go from now on.

 

I like "Bottom of the Ocean". I feel like I also loved "Los Angeles" when I first heard it, so hopefully this one sticks a little longer. I actually love the EDM production in there.

 

So the "Bored To Death" acoustic is actually live. I feel like maybe Mark's vocal were rerecorded though.

 

I'm feeling a bit empty here. As if the days of listening to new blink music with a boost of excitement like Christmas as a kid were gone.

 

I thought he sounded pretty solid on the Youtube vid but I haven't heard the album one yet.

 

Find new bands you like then. Problem solved.

 

Haven't listened to any of the new songs yet but good to see they're getting positive responses for the most part so far.

 

Dont Mean Anything reminds me of Simple Plan. But I like it.

 

I may have watched a different one. It's been quite a bit. I remember one performance where he sounded pitchy - but I could be mistaken. I might be thinking of a full band version too. It sounds solid on here though.

 

I see that, I also get an Avril vibe too lol.

I either like it a lot or not at all. Buuut it certainly gives me enough material to put together my definitive California album playlist!

 

Weird, I think "Long Lost Feeling" is probably my favorite out of the whole bunch.

 

Ditto. I'm knocking off work in an hour but then have hot yoga. I won't have them on my iPod til ETA 4hrs. And even then won't listen as gonna watch A Dogs Purpose with my dog

So, overall better than I expected. The unreleased songs are generally better than the "singles", except Last Train Home which is the ultimate snooze. I also liked Misery a good amount more than I remembered. 2-5 is definitely the strong stretch of the album whereas 6-8 is a major chore to get through.

Something about the chorus of Good Old Days really works for me.

 

Mine is similar, but I think I would choose different words. haha.

Needless to say, I'm bigger on the brand new ones than I was on almost any of the previously released tracks...
