I guess the "good news" is it's happening to everyone. Will probably work itself out as people give up and we'll all hopefully snag a copy.

 

1 hour and 37 minutes later it's still not working. I got all the way to order submit and the site was processing more than last time, but then failed. Bump this noise.

 

Happened to me at least four times now.

 

Was anyone here a member of the Coheed boards before they were taken down and destroyed with no warning prior? All the time we spent hashing out the story and characters and spoilers when all we had were the lyrics to SSTB and a few demos and live recordings. And the bombshell that was dropped on us when Claudio himself signed up on the forums and told us Apollo was a dog! We woke up to it all gone. What a huge bummer.

 

Hey, this was a new one. Got to the end. Clicked "complete order" it cycled through my billing address and processed payment. Then it just stopped. Didn't redirect me or do anything it just stopped doing anything. Couldn't click on any links.

Fuck this sooooo hard.

Cobalt and Calcium? That was the best musical resource I could find at that time, it was amazing.

 

It was actually a few years pre-Cobalt and Calcium. They deleted the official Coheed forums without telling any of us they were going to do so, and the forums link on the official page started redirecting to Cobalt and Calcium. We always assumed it was a decision made by Blaze.

 

Well shit.

 

Sucky part is I already order the RSD variant on SRC but it's been sitting in "processing" for a week. Assuming they over sold and I caught the short end.

 

No joke, I have reached the point where I click "complete my purchase" like 15 times. Each time it times out. Unreal.

 

Never got through, but my buddy did and he snagged two and offered one to me. Three hours and I could never make it through. That is insane.

 

Got mine! The site seems to be running for everyone now according to the (hilarious) thread on Coheed's Facebook.

 

Mine too. Finally. Now I'm $47 poorer.

 

I believe there is a tour variant available. Going to try to grab that when I go on the 19th. But if they are as limited as I expect, I'm sure those who get the VIP tickets with photo ops, etc. will have already grabbed them all.

 

I didn't even bother to wait in the merch line to look for the vinyl or get anything else. Had a good enough time at the core show. However the seats me and my friend choose to sit at were pretty sucky as the people in front of us on the balcony were tall and we had a hard time seeing.

 

Anyone know what the opener situation has been like this tour so far?

Oh man. I looked up the encore for this tour and my body is fucking ready.

Gotta say, that makes my three hours refreshing seem a little bit silly now. Kinda wish they had made it widely known this was coming before that whole catastrophe.

But whatever.

 

They posted a status after the shit show that was the online vinyl sale saying they would evaluate doing another pressing. So they probably didn't know at the time that this pressing would be a thing. That said, my issue with their limited pressings was that this album was certified gold and they have a cult fan base, why only press ~5000 copies. Anyways. Glad I have mine and that others can't get a copy as well, hopefully they've learned from this if they do a SSTB pressing.
