In the end it's gonna be the lying that gets everyone fucked ... it won't be the awful stuff that should, and should be stamped out and held up as an example ... it'll be the pedantic cover-up stuff. Didn't Sessions actually lie under oath ? I honestly don't think they're smart enough to keep pulling this off let alone keep the cover up going for 4 years, but then again there's just been so much so quickly that big stories that would be scandals are just lining tomorrow's trashcans for the next schtick. I don't think they're smart enough to weasel out of lies, I just don't have faith our country's attention span will stick to something and see it through. *cue this week's discussion of lazy Americans etc*

this is so beyond unbelievable that if this happened in a movie i would complain about how unrealistic and stupid of a plot point it was.


like, for TWO YEARS no one AT ALL heard this and anyone who did assumed probably assume it was satire. but like, not even ONE PERSON thought it wasn't satire? Like, if I heard it, I would probably think it was stupid/shitty parody in poor taste...but you'd have to imagine someone wouldn't...
