  1. I'm not a huge fan of It Remembers like a lot of people are. But it fits nicely within the album.

Its been a while since I tried to rank ETID albums. umm lets give it a shot.

    LT
    HD
    FPU
    GP
    NJA
    TBD
    LNIT
    EL

Yeah I think that's about right for right now. It changes often lol but LT and HD have solidified themselves in those positions, and EL in last always. I feel dirty not having HD at the top since it has been my favorite album of theirs (and favorite heavy album ever) since it came out, but that changed with LT and that just feels so weird to me.

There isn't a single bad album from the band, but damn does Ex-Lives get low rankings for most.

Ex Lives is fantastic. That and TBD are the two I've listened to enough to know every word

I guess this settles it. The Big Dirty is the best.

I saw that earlier lol. Sometimes I forget how well known this band is. Another reason to love to them. Widely recognized and still the same band after all this time.

I physically don't want to wait 3 more months to see them. I wish mpls attracted all the tours.

  13. I'm still surprised about their tour with TBS. I'm not going but I'd love to see the crowd.

so strange that theyre touring together. i was actually talking about this with @Deathco_019 but ive noticed they like touring with more alt rock bands than bands of their ilk yknow? like touring with Rise Against and TBS and The Used and such. Which im cool with i love all those bands to varying degrees its just interesting. Ofc they do tour with heavier bands like DEP and such but its just interesting.

It's a little strange, but there seems to be a lot of cross over with their fan bases. I think ETID have a way of appealing to a broader audience that other bands like them just don't have. I remember a friend of mine who basically only ever listened to blue grass and didn't care much for heavier music was convinced to go to an ETID show a few years back and now he's a huge fan, never misses them when they come to town.

I'll give it to this band. I think they're such a step above their contemporaries in both sound and just how they handle themselves as a band. I feel like you don't see many bands in the metalcore scene going in tour with alternative rock bands.

I would throw Underoath in the discussion as well for metalcore bands that stand above their contemporaries in sound and business (for lack of a better word). I mean, they took mewithoutYou, As Cities Burn, and letlive out on their farewell tour when I'm sure they easily could have gotten three generic metalcore bands.

I don't even feel like it's that odd of a matchup, but then I don't listen to many bands like ETID. (And also not even sure what bands TBS would be considered similar to. I don't really listen to any bands they're normally associated with)

ETID also comes from a time when genres weren't as important to people. Lots of shows back in the day would have various types of bands on the bill and that was pretty common. It seems strange now because we segment everything to death.

I love going to shows where bands all have a different sound, or at least a different take on a similar sound. Like, I saw The Hotelier, Foxing, and Prawn together and that was a great show where I felt like everyone was unique.

On the other hand, the one time I saw ETID, it was on an off-tour date while they were out with The Used and it was literally three or four shirty metalcore bands before ETID. It was painful.

Oh yeah they def have crossover appeal. Some of the catchiest metalcore around. Them touring with TBS makes sense also just because I know the bands are like pretty close friends and sometimes that's all it takes. Plus they released great albums last year so

TBS also have songs that I listen to and I'm like "huh that has some ETID influence on it" like El Paso or The Union and likewise a song like Revival Mode or Wanderlust has that TBS alt rock vibe to it so yeah. They're two of my favorite bands so I'd kill to go to one of those shows.
